Swisschard 'bright lights'
Descrição
How we grow it:
We chose the 'Bright Lights' variety for its beauty and its flavour. Grown in composted, pesticide-free soil — the colourful stems and lush leaves are a sign of genuine health, not just good looks. It's one of the most rewarding crops we grow.
The chard:
Vivid stems of red, orange, yellow and pink, with large, tender leaves. It's mild in flavour — more gentle than kale, slightly earthy, very versatile. Both the stems and the leaves are edible and delicious, though the stems take a little longer to cook.
Ordering details:
- Unit: Sold by the bunch (minimum 400 gr')
- Harvest: Cut fresh on Wednesday morning, delivered the same day
How to cook it:
Separate the stems from the leaves and cook the stems first — they need a few more minutes. Sauté stems with olive oil and a pinch of salt, then add the leaves and let them wilt. Together they make a simple, stunning side dish. Also wonderful in frittatas, pasta, and gratins.
