Big cherry tomatoes

HOW WE GROW IT

Grown on trellised vines in full sun, in composted soil with no synthetic feed or sprays. These are larger cherry tomatoes — bigger than a snacking cherry, smaller than a salad tomato — ripened fully on the plant and picked only when deeply coloured and sweet. The extra size means more juicy flesh in every bite while keeping all the concentrated flavour of a cherry.

THE PRODUCT

Plump, glossy, and bursting with sweet-sharp flavour — big cherry tomatoes give you the intensity of a cherry tomato with the satisfying bite of something larger. Thin-skinned and full of juice, ripened on the vine rather than in storage, they have the bright, proper tomato taste that supermarket fruit loses. Lovely halved in a salad or eaten whole.

A TIP FROM OUR KITCHEN

Halve into a salad, or roast whole with olive oil and garlic until they burst and caramelise — then spoon over pasta, toast, or soft cheese. They blister beautifully in a hot pan for a quick side, and make a fast, sweet sauce with very little cooking. Keep them at room temperature, never the fridge, to protect the flavour.
